Visa

Kuwait has a list of 34 (mainly Western) countries whose passport holders can travel visa-free into Kuwait (i.e. these people will buy a visitors visa for 6 dinar at the airport). (See list of 34 countries below). We will organize a pick-up serivce that will make it very easy for people to pass through the gate. 

All participants who need a visa should contact us for a formal letter of acceptance as soon as their proposals are accepted  

Alternative procedures:

1. GET A VISA THROUGH THE LOCAL EMBASSY. For all other countries there are visa regulations that you should inquire about at the Kuwaiti embassy of your country. (If there is no Kuwaiti embassy in your country there will probably be the embassy of another Gulf country that can handle your application). They will tell you what documents you need in order to apply for a visa. In principle, you get the visa from the Kuwaiti embassy of your country and not from us. But you will need an official invitation letter from us. We will send you an e-invitation letter.

In exceptional cases GUST will be able to sponsor a speaker (only keynotes) and to send the visa directly to the speaker.

For all inquiries about visas put "visa" into the subject line of your email.

Please start this process early enough because the procedures can be very lengthy.

2. GET A VISA THROUGH THE HOTEL. There is also another procedure, which is to let the hotel in which you are staying take care of your visa. This works for most nationalities. If ou prefer this option contact the Costa Del Sol. Links are give in the "accomodation" secion of the present website.
